Outdoor School Overnight is hosted by Camp Tapawingo and is designed for 6th grade students who want to experience learning in the outdoor classroom. Activities are planned and coordinated with Teachers so students receive a balance of learning the Core Curriculum Goals for their grade level as well as experiencing outdoor fun. Our aim is to provide a high quality instructional program that allows the students to learn, move, interact, and have the opportunity to experience being in the outdoors.

Sessions begin at 9am on Day #1 and end at 3pm on Day #2. Students need to bring a sack lunch for the first day and all other meals & snacks will be provided. CampTapawingo will provide all instructional and counseling staff. A nurse is onsite and available to students 24 hours a day. Teachers are encouraged to participate and enjoy watching their students! Our staff consists of local college students, current and former educators, and other qualified adults.

Students are housed in cabins with bunk beds, indoor restrooms & showers.
