Lindsey Shimel, Camp Director

Lindsey currently works as a teacher at Indian Hills Elementary School in Hillsboro. She has a love of children of all ages, and has spent the majority of the last two decades volunteering with the children and youth ministries of her church. This summer will mark her 27th camp season at Tapawingo! Lindsey grew in her faith through her experiences as a camper, and firmly believes that Tapawingo is a place where students learn to deepen their walks with Jesus.

When Lindsey is not at camp, she enjoys spending time with her family (especially her amazing nephews and niece), completing puzzles, listening to audiobooks, and sleeping in on the weekends. She is excited to see God at work this summer!

Patrick Frost, High School Camp Speaker

Patrick Frost currently works as a teacher at South Salem High School where he also coaches varsity baseball and serves as the football PA announcer. He developed a humorous and impactful preaching style while working as a youth pastor for 10 years. He connects well with people of all ages but his experience working in a high school makes him uniquely equipped to relate Biblical Truth to the world teenagers are currently navigating. He has been married to his wife, Siriana, for almost 15 years and has a 10 year old son named Lincoln. Some of his other favorite things are playing video games, barbecuing, and churro night at Tapawingo.
