Expanding the Joy Fundraiser!

We are excited to announce that Camp Tapawingo was recently awarded a grant from M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust, providing significant funds to complete our new Dining Facility. With the grant of $400,000, we have reached our original goal of $3.1 million to fund the project, which will comfortably seat over 200 guests under one roof.

We are so grateful for their support, giving us the capacity to complete the building by the summer camping season of 2023. While the final bids raised the budget, this grant will allow full funding as additional gifts come in over the course of the next year.

The Murdock Trust also provided funds to complete our Riverside Activity Center in 2012, leading to expanded ministry opportunities, growth in the number and sizes of camping groups, and the current need to expand our dining capacity. We are thankful for their belief in our ministry and their continued support.

M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust, created by the will of the late Melvin J. (Jack) Murdock, provides grants to nonprofit organization in five states of the Pacific Northwest-Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington-that seek to strengthen the region’s educational, social, spiritual, and cultural base in creative and sustainable ways. We are grateful to the Marcia H. Randall Trust for topping off the Fundraising Campaign with a generous gift of $170,000.

We are now fully funded and the walls to the new Dining Hall will be going up soon!

To God be the Glory!!
